Seductive Old World Viognier with white floral and petrol aromas. Love it. The vines grow in chalk and clay soils on steep hillsides yielding a deep core of minerality in the finished wine. Peach, pear and baking spices on the nose of this full-bodied white wine.

Viognier food pairings: grilled pork, chicken, roast pork tenderloin with apricot puree.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A great value wine at just under $14 - this lovely Viognier is light, smooth and refreshing. Delightful peach and floral with hints of "lily of the valley" on the nose and palate. Enjoyed on its own or with a vegetable stir fry or a cheese stuffed tortellini in a creamy white sauce.
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted May 25th 2018. Colour pale straw clear and brilliant. Legs medium. Aromas and flavours of citrus peel, peach, minerality, aromatics. Taste dry, crisp, mouthwatering, more citrus peel, medium mouth feel. Finishes medium with aromatics. Nice wine good value. So refreshing and enjoyable to drink. I made a oven baked Risotto used some of the wine in the recipe. Paired the Risotto with Cajun catfish. The wine complemented the dish it was able to handle the fish and it added aromatics to the Risotto. This wine is worth trying good value.
Paul Mas Estate Nicole Vineyard Viognier 2016 is floral with intense honey, ripe stonefruit, pear and citrus flavours. Produced by Jean-Claude Mas, the South of France Viognier is a great example of what this varietal can do under knowledgeable wine stewardship. Very impressive. - Community Wine Reviews
