Natalie's Score: 90/100 A touch herbal and stemmy on the nose with more fleshy ripe cherries and plums on the palate. Racy acidity for grilled chicken. The Paper Road Vineyard was originally planted on an area that was designated to by a road in the 1890s. Bright and tart with mouth-watering acidity. Medium-bodied and supple.
Pinot Noir food pairings: beef bourguignon, roast turkey, meatlover`s pizza topped with more steak.

North Island Paper Road 2016 is a medium-bodied, succulent Pinot Noir from the Wairarapa produced by Paddy Borthwick. Look for ripe raspberries, cherries and crushed violets on this vibrant Pinot Noir. Pair this one with a rack of New Zeeland Lamb. The Paper Road Vineyard is built on the site of a road proposed and surveyed in the 1890s. The road was never developed and as a result exists only on local maps. - Community Wine Reviews
