A full-bodied red wine produced in appassimento style with Refosco grapes. Lovely, plushy dried red berry, earthy, and savoury spice flavours on this robust red. Pair with grilled meats.

Refosco food pairings: rich meat-based or baked pasta dishes, blackened leg of lamb, strong cheese, mushroom risotto with plenty of Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Reviews and Ratings

Michael rated this wine as 91/100
Janet Holden rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This red wine had aromas of dark fruit, cherries, plums and cassis with many secondary aromas of leather, earth, cedar, vanilla and tobacco. On the palate it had flavours of dark jammy fruit, vanilla, leather, earth and coffee. It went well with meat lasagna as it was fairly balanced and not overpowering.
Grandarella 2014 is produced form 100% Refosco wine grapes by dro Boscaini and Masi. Plushy, full-bodied with sweet tart blackberry, earthy and savoury herb flavours. Pair with grilled game sausages or a meaty dish. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
