Vibrant, electric and alive in the glass: this characterful, medium-bodied red wine shows just why Gamay could be the best red wine for Niagara. Luscious red fruits and a wonder texture. Pair with roast turkey.

Reviews and Ratings

Courtney Flood rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Juicy, vibrant, alive. Gamay is a great "summer" red for me filled with juicy berries and hints of spice, nothing too heavy or serious.

Great Mozzarella pairing wine. Sure, if I was JUST eating mozzarella on its own, I would not pair it with gamay. But when I think of mozzarella, I think PIZZA, and when I think pizza, I think gamay!

Have some fun and make yourself gourmet pizza tonight. Buy premade pizza dough or crust or find yourself a good pizza dough recipe. If you do homemade, buy 00 flour from your local italian deli (where you might be picking up your delicious cheese. Serious. It makes a difference). Pizza sauce: stir together 1 can tomato paste, 1 grated garlic clove, glug of olive oil, splash of balsamic vingear, 1 tbsp of warm water (or more for thinner sauce), salt and pepper. Toppings: generous topping of mozzarella, sprinkling of parmesan (optional) and a package of wild mushrooms sauteed (oyster or king oyster). Bake in 375 oven until cheese bubbling and starting to brown. Top with a handful or 2 of arugala tossed in olive oil. Sprinkle of red pepper flakes if you like some spice.
