Reviews and Ratings

Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Radiant red in the glass, with a heady combination of aromas including iris flowers, cherries and white pepper. Flavours pull through to a tangy cherry finish.
Wonderful with pesto based dishes, or mixed cheese and antipasto plates.
Enjoy now or lie down for another few years.
Tasted February 2020.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Tart cranberry, tart cherry, rustic spice, with medium dusty tannins. Pairs well with roasted turkey, roast chicken or pork. Tasted 2017 vintage in August 2018. 88 points
Love this black cherry-flavoured, medium-bodied and juicy Gamay from the Niagara Peninsula, Ontario wine region. Malivoire 2017 is a great value Gamay under $20. On the nose, there are black cherry, raspberry, floral and herbal aromas. Dry, fresh and juicy on the palate with ripe raspberry, red plum and red cherry fruit flavours with a smattering of herbs and white pepper spice on with palate. Chill slightly and enjoy with a charcuterie and cheese platter. This vintage was awarded Gold at the 2018 National Wine Awards of Canada. - Community Wine Reviews
