Good now but better 2022, a beautiful, evolving Barolo with dark cherry, tar, leather and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are grippy on this 100% Nebbiolo. Enjoy with firm cheeses or a wild mushroom and truffle tagliatelle dish. Enjoy now and for the next 10 years.

Barolo food pairings: beef stew, roast pheasant, prime rib.

Reviews and Ratings

La Pieve 2016 is a full-bodied Barolo made from 100% Nebbiolo wine grapes. There is a lot of smoky, charry dark fruit, tar, rose petals, leather and spice flavours on the palate matched by mouth-watering acidity and grippy, firm tannins. Can easily cellar for another five years, but if pouring tonight. decant for two hours and pair with a prime rib roast. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
