Always a delight! This Kim Crawford Pinot Noir is a perfect balance between fleshy ripe plums and lively, racy acidity for dishes such as grilled pork chops. Medium-bodied, smooth and supple. Terrific value.

Pinot Noir food pairings: veal medallions, lamb in a red wine sauce, roasted pork loin, Tourtière, prime rib roasted.

Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Oh Wow! This is a well-crafted, elegant and intense Pinot Noir from Kim Crawford Wines. Fragrant with grilled herbs, dark cherry, earthy wild mushrooms, dark chocolate, baking spice and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Dry, medium-plus-bodied with raspberry compote, dark cherry, blueberry, violets, fresh mushroom, savoury herbs, dark chocolate, ginger, pepper spice and a smoky vanilla kiss. Finishes long with vibrant, balanced acidity and fine tannins with a palate-pleasing grip. Enjoyed with a grilled venison sirloin steak and it would also be great with veal medallions sautéed in a rich mushroom sauce.

Produced from 64% cool-climate Marlborough and 36% Central Otago Pinot Noir grapes. Grapes were destemmed, cold soaked for five days and left on their skins for a total of 15 days. After fermentation, a portion of the pressed juice went into oak barrels to age for eight months. Beautifully balanced! Drinking great now and for the next two years.
Kim Crawford Pinot Noir is always a crowd pleaser and great value as well. Easy to love with its cheery cherry, red berry, strawberry, chocolate, clove spice, citrus, fine herb flavours with a lingering mineral kiss., A vibrant PN with velvety tannins. Lightly chill and enjoy it with grilled salmon fish tacos and a mild Pico di gallo. - Community Wine Reviews
