Natalie's Score: 91/100 Central Otago grapes adds blacker berry fruit whereas South Island is brighter red fruit. Lusciously ripe fruit with mouth-watering juiciness. This is why I love New Zealand Pinot Noir! Lovely fruit with light oak (10% new French oak) with 60% oak total, and 40% in stainless steel oak. Oak is just for a bit of spice and to fill out the palate.
Pinot Noir food pairings: pulled-pork sandwiches, roasted chicken, salmon ceviche.

Reviews and Ratings
Malcolm Lamont - WSET Adv, CSW rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Some cracked black pepper spiciness from the 60% french barrel / 40% tank fermentation, and lots of red fruit, and in the background some supporting role players of baking spice, and vanilla/caramel. Repeating flavours on the well-rounded palate. Pairs fantastically with roast duck au jus. Tasted October 2, 2013
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Lots of dark fruit, cherries, blackberries, currants. Earthy on the nose, hints of spice, nice mouthfeel. Evidence of the cooler inland climate. Slightly tannic, well paired with salmon or venison per the Winemaker Anthony's suggestion.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: This Pinot Noir from South Island helped me decide what wine to serve for Thanksgiving Dinner! The nose has notes of cherries, black currants and blackberries, with a touch of vanilla and spice, then oak and spice fill out the mid-palate. Low tannins and a long, vanilla and fruit finish. This wine was aged in French oak, then stainless steel. Will complement roast breast of duck, pork tenderloin, salmon or venison.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Ruby red and light+ body. A familiar favourite at the liquor store and always consistent is the Kim Crawford Pinot Noir. Ripe dark fruit, cranberries, earthiness, sweet spice, pepper and some subtle oak due to 40% SS fermetation. Mildly tannic. Nice with roasted duck breast. Game meats and the Canadian BBQ as well.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: The Kim Crawford 2012 Pinot Noir is worth every penny. This medium bodied wine is full of cherry, raspberry and earthy aromas and flavours. Excellent on its own or with your favourite dish. Tasted December 26,2012 (90/100)
Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: This New Zealand Pinot Noir is a fantastic deal for the money. It's a beautiful expression of a Pinot Noir with bright flavors of cherry, raspberry and some spicy notes. I recently enjoyed this with grilled chicken and it was perfect together, but this wine is very food friendly and would go with a wide array of dishes.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: A blend of Marlborough and Otago fruit, this wine offers up bright aromas and flavours of red cherry, white pepper, red plum skin, bay leaf, and beet root. 89 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Wanda rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Soft tannins and bold fruit/berry flavour with a hint of spice. A delightful wine to drink and it paired nicely with our Thanksgiving Turkey.
Mark Cochrane Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: A nice ruby red Pinot Noir stored in 60% French oak of which 10% was new French oak brings out the spice and a hint of white pepper in this Kim Crawford Pinot Noir. A good balance of acidity and fruit with lots of cherry and currants on the palate and a long finish of cherry. Very nice
Betty rated this wine as 50/100 with the following review: Flat boring light flavour - returned to LCBO - ugh!!!!
Dan Carkner reviewed this wine as follows: A blend of 2 regions with Central Otago fruit providing dark berry and dried cranberry notes while Marlborough produce lends aromatics and fresh red berry characteristics. Aromas of cherry, currant, and red licorice define the fruit forward style. Violet, cinnamon, clove, and forest floor aspects provide background complexity. The palate confirms the nose with the addition of red plum and stewed raspberry. This is an easy drinking New Zealand Pinot Noir that calls for a refill.
