Juicy, smooth and medium-bodied with toasted along. Terrific value for this price. This is a first on this wine so go so generous with the smoke treatment. Still a very good wine with fleshy ripe red fruit and juicy mouth-watering goodness.

Food pairings: barbecued braised chicken, marinated ribs.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Here we have a wine with a striking blend of fleshy fruity berries and smoke. This red blend from the Niagara Escarpment is showing notes of fresh cherry, cranberry, crabapple, and wet stone minerality. The acidity is mouthwatering, the tannins are young and grippy with plump medium-bodied mouthfeel. I recommend drinking now and enjoy with pulled port tacos. Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A very pretty and delineated wine with black cherry and damson plum notes. A touch of savoury herb, camphor and chalk. A perfect pairing with grilled or smoked chicken. 90 Points

The 2012 Red Twisted bursts with smoky dark stewed fruits, spice, and herbs. Fantastic with smoky BBQ fare. Tasted July 2016. 88 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
