Flat Rock Twisted 2020 is a rich, dry and fruit-driven red wine blend of mostly Gamay with 25% in Merlot and 3% in Pinot Noir grapes added to the mix. Grapes are sustainably grown and this juicy Niagara wine region red is terrific value at $20. Look for bright cherry, red berry, savoury herbs, cracked black pepper and cedar brush spice flavours generous on the palate with a kiss of smoke balanced with vibrant acidity.

Food pairings: barbecued braised chicken, marinated ribs, veggie burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely red blend, easy drinking and sure to appeal to many at your next summer party. There are aromas of blackberry and raspberries, along with dark spicy notes and a hint of sweet smoke. Full bodied with soft tannins and bright acidity, with a lot of dark, ripe berries on the palate and a spicy finish. Just a touch of sweetness that would compliment BBQ sauce quite well. Enjoy with burgers, grilled ribs, or sausages.
