Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Ripe cassis jam and vanilla aromas, with a smooth, velvety palate that gives dark fruit, cedar and sweet spice. Elegant!
Tasted July 2018
Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

For those that know this wine (and recall the last release by the LCBO) it's not quite as good - but close. Cassis, licorice, and mild herbs make the nose absolutely complex. A bit lighter and crisper than previous vintages but plop this in front of guest with confidence. A rarer steak or tenderloin and the wine may become a conversation piece.
The Cabernet Sauvignon wine grapes from Edge 2016 mostly come from vineyards in the Alexander Valley in California. Edge Cabernet Sauvignon is delicious on the nose with cocoa, black cherry, vanilla and spice, with more of same on the palate with tobacco leaf and bell peppers. This is a medium-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon -- well-structured and made for food. Try it with grilled fare. - Community Wine Reviews
