Savoury and juicy with attractive sour cherry notes. Supple and smooth and full-bodied. There's a lot to love in this wine. Racy acidity means this wine will dance with tomato sauce dishes, including pasta.

Chianti food pairings: pastas with mushroom sauce, aromatized white meat, roast lamb, or half-mature cheese.

Great red fruits and a long tart finish with good acids. This will be my next spaghetti wine.Tasted Jan 31/16
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The 2014 expresses aromas of red cherry, ripe strawberry, black plum with earthy undertones. Lots of red fruit and strawberry on the palate, a hint of earth with a sour cherry finish. This wine would pair perfectly with spaghetti and meatballs in tomato sauce. Tasted January 31, 2016.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Cherries and baking spices on both the nose and mouth. Lighter bodied and soft, wonderful with a simple margherita pizza. A great value wine for sure!
Tasted January 2016.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Bright acid and berry aromas. Light bodied, bright acid, soft finish. Perfect for light pasta with a tomato sauce.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Medium burgundy with earthy aromas of plums and ripe strawberries. The berries come thought nicely in the taste, with some sour cherry mixed in and a rounded mouth feel and medium acidity. Great with a meat and tomato based pasta dish.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby, simple nose of cherry, berry and earth. Medium light bodied, sour cherry dominates on the palate. Soft tannins and juicy acidity and a shortish finish. Try with a simple pasta with tomato based sauce.
Tasted January 2016
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Here comes a light easy drinking pizza wine! Predominant aromas include cherry, earthy forest floor and flinty minerality. The palate shows a predominant tart cherry note with high acidity, light tannins and a medium-long finish. Tasted Jan 2016.
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

A light red…
Presentation: Classic but with a caricatured knight, which gives it a twist
Appearance: Light ruby
Nose: Sour cherries, leather, wood, grass
Taste: Light, leather, anise.
Finish: Leather lingers.
Overall impression: A light red easy to pair with red sauce pasta dishes
Value: 3 out of 5
Stephanie MacNeil reviewed this wine as follows:

Nice and light. Fruity.
