Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Like big, bold, juicy red? You can pause here! This wine pours with a deep dark ruby red hue. Its key features include notes of black fruit (plums and cassis), anise, nutmeg, cigar box, and hints of caramelized sugars. This wine is full-bodied, showing high tannins, yummy (high) acidity, and a long minty finish. One bonus point score goes the name and bottle presentation. Loving it! Pair this black beauty with BBQ ribs. Tasted August 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Full bodied, deep red in color - this wine comes from the Middleton Family in the Columbia Valley of Washington State. Dark berries, chocolate on the nose, medium acidity, lingering spicy finish.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A bit of the Wild West here - big and juicy, loads of ripe berry, leather and spicy oak flavours play around with rough-and-tumble tannins. Take this Cab for a ride with a bison or elk steak.
Wineboy rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

a more reserved CS with nice complex aromas and flavours. It also features a good measure of tannins. Drink now with a rare steak.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A full-bodied red wine from the Columbia Valley in Washington State. Deep ruby colour with aromas and flavours of cherry, blackberry, cola, warm baking spices, graphite and chocolate. Medium acidity with some drying tannins. This is a big wine. Decant at least one hour prior to serving. Grilled red meats.
Tasted: August 2016
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Black fruit and oak aromas with plum, mocha and herb notes on the palate. Finish is a bit drying with slightly grippy tannins.

The wine is made up of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16 Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot from the Columbia Valley and was aged 10 months in French oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews
