As you can guess, this supple, full-bodied South African red wine features coffee espresso on the nose and palate from the toasty oak aging. Barista 2018 is rich with a smoky layering of black cherry, ripe cassis and dark chocolate flavours on the palate. The Robertson wine region winery is Certified for Integrity & Sustainability by the South African Wine and Spirit Board. Winemaker Bertus Fourie, who holds degrees in microbiology, chemistry and oenology, is nicknamed "Starbucks" for his role in shaping the so-called "coffee Pinotage" style. Pair with smoked meats and mature cheeses.

Pinotage food pairings: blackened lamb burgers, smoked cheese, braised beef in a Porter reduction.
