Fresh, crisp and clean Niagara Riesling with lemon and lime zest and just hint of that wet stone petrol I adore. Perfect for vegetarian dishes and shellfish.

Riesling food pairings: grilled chicken with lemongrass stalk, spicy pasta dishes, Feta cheese, butternut squash risotto, duck liver pate.

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A slight 'pop' greets you when you crack the seal on this gem (not to worry, just a touch of CO2 from winemaking). 13th Street Winery's ever-popular June's Vineyard Riesling, made from old Clone 49 Riesling from Alsace, shows the freshest stonefruit, lime, ginger, and classic Riesling bees wax and petrol notes all wrapped up with crisp limestone minerality making this beautiful Ontario Riesling a fantastic choice for just about anything you can imagine from buffalo wings to spiced duck leg to Pad Thai, they're all great with this gem. Tasted May 2016. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The 2013 vintage Riesling is gorgeous! Tasted this vintage in Dec 2016 paired wonderfully with herb roasted turkey dinner. Brilliant, rich and luscious oily mouthfeel with juicy high acidity. A great companion for roasted poultry. Cool climate Riesling typicity. Long finish with persistence of kaffir lime leaf, lemongrass, wet stone and a hint of raw almond. Zesty, dry and fresh. Enjoy by 2020. Rated 90/100.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This gem of a wine shows an interesting note of honey, citrus zest, ceder and baking spice. Reminicient of French Old World Riesling, this wine shows concentrated citrus notes, stone fruit, honey, smokey cedar (as in planked dishes on the bbq), as well as all spice. The palate is rich with an oily mouthfeel, high acidity and a long spiced finish. Defnitely enjoy with a herbed marinaded beer can chicken bbq! Tasted May 2016. @sommsosa @bespoketastings
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Loved the nose on this beautiful Creek Shores Niagara Riesling. Lots of fresh tree fruit aromas accompanied by the local Spring blossoms. Familiar petrol is only hinted. Citrus, bees wax, oxidized apple and fresh clean acidity make this a perfect aperitif or pair with spicy dishes. Nice stony minerality finish. Highly recommend. Good value. Potential for aging.

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This Niagara Peninsula Riesling has a refreshing nose with white stone fruit, honey and minerality. The palate shows ripe peaches, honey, minerality and slight spice. Off-dry with a long rich mineral finish.
This Ontario Riesling is made from the rare Riesling clone 49 and the vines were planted 1999 along the Creek Shores appellation of Niagara. The 2013 vintage of this Niagara Riesling by winemaker Jean-Pierre Colas is remarkable and a great expression of the June's Vineyard and Creek Shores appellation. - Community Wine Reviews
