Deep purple color.

Aromas of cherry, blackberry, black pepper, mint, chocolate and oak.

The palate is fresh, chewy full-bodied and long.

Pair it with a beef sirloin with chimichurri sauce.

Serve it at 15-17 degrees.

Can be aged 8-10 years.

Okay, this is lovely! It has a very classy if not flamboyant nose of black cherry and black currant fruit nicely layered in fresh eucalyptus, vanilla and mint. It's full bodied, but so even and silky. Dense but not thick. The focus and length are excellent. Supple and balanced enough to drink now; should hold three years at least. Tasted February 2015
Maria Faraci rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas of dark cherry and eucalyptus, full bodied and dense but smooth and silky slight sweetness on long finish gave Anna a bottle
rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A typical full bodied Aussie Shiraz with aromas of smoked meat, rich black fruit, black pepper, and dark chocolate. The bold flavours, dry leather and tannins on the palate call out for grilled red meats. This Shiraz is fermented with wild yeasts and aged 18 months in new French oak barrels.

Yangarra Shiraz 2012, Mclaren Vale, South Australia, Australia: Pleasantly bitter and tarry. in Australian Shiraz. Juicy, full-bodied and layered. Drink with hamburgers or steak. Finishes with tart blackberries, pepper and spice. The McLaren Vale region in Australia is known for top-notch Shiraz like this one. Pair with hamburgers.
