Natalie's Score: 88/100

A full-bodied, rich red Argentine wine with aromas and flavours black plum, pepper and dark spices on the finish. This muscular wine will elbow its way in beside a rare steak or prime rib. It's strong, but not overpowering like the ideal dinner companion conversation. Malbec is Argentina's flagship red wine grape, and this producer excels at the style of wine. Pair with grilled meats.

Malbec food pairings: pepperoni pizza, radicchio, lamb cutlets, beef tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Zuccardi's Serie A Malbec (2014) is grown in several different vineyards across the Valle de Uco (Tupungato, El Peral, Gualtallary, Vista Flore and La Consulta). Clearly, Argentina's signature grape, this winery produced 225,000 litres of wine for the 2014 vintage. Malbec is full-bodied, robust with blackberry, mulberry, dark plum on the palate and a smoky finish. This is a food wine and its preference is grilled meat. - Community Wine Reviews
