Reviews and Ratings

From the Veneto wine region, Zenato San Benedetto Lugana 2017 is a zesty white Verdicchio with lime-lemon zest with clementine, ripe peach, blanched almond and green herb flavours on the palate. Tangy acidity for food. Pair with brunch fare. MINE: Zenato San Benedetto Lugana 2017 is a zesty white Verdicchio from the Veneto wine region. Lots of liquid lime-lemon zest with soft orange, stone fruit and green herb flavours on the palate. Tangy acidity for food. Pair with brunch fare, on the patio or a weekend lunch date. OTHER: With the onset of warmer weather, a refreshing white wine is often just the thing to complete the perfect outdoor dining experience. White wines from Veneto may not be on your white-wine radar, but they should be. Trebbiano di Lugana (a.k.a. Verdicchio) is bright and animated, with zesty orange citrus, peach, apple and pineapple tones. This has the lift to work with a wide range of foods including fish, chicken in a mushroom cream sauce, and pasta, but it will also be a fine sipper. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
