From the Côtes Du Rhône wine region, Xavier Vignon 2019 is an excellent value, dry, medium-bodied Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre red wine blend. Elegant with ripe dark cherry, blueberry, blackberry, grilled herb and spice flavours smoky, silky and long on the palate. The Grenache vines were planted nearly 100 years ago. Drink or hold.

Food pairings: meat pizza, roast pheasant, Porchetta pork roast.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Excellent value on this Rhone blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre. Aromas of blackberry and blueberry, along with hints of smoke and leather. Full bodied and rounded on the palate, with medium, drying tannins and just a hint of acidity. Fruit notes are ripe and rich, and the finish is long with notes of dried herbs. Enjoy with prime rib or any hearty lentil dishes.
Another excellent value Côtes Du Rhône red under $17, Xavier Vignon 2019 is a medium-bodied Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre red wine blend produced from organically-grown grapes. Juicy with ripe dark cherry, dark berry, anise, pepper spice and smoky vanilla flavours on the palate. Tannins are rounded and the wine is ready to enjoy now. - Community Wine Reviews
