Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Xavier, the southern Rhone winemaker, has a reputation that is picking up steam in recent years. Affordable blends sourced from quality producers in the famous AOCs we all know and love (Chateauneuf, Vaqueyras, Gigondas).
This wine is a typical Rhone blend built around Oold vine Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvedre. 2015 was a promising year and you can pick this reflective example for close to nothing!
Deep ruby, with purple hues. Cooked plums, raspberry, blackberry, and a subtle hint of baking spice.
The oak is very toned back on this blend. The vast majority of the blend spent time in concrete instead of oak.
Pair this fine wine with roasted chestnuts.
