A full-on, full-bodied red wine with rich, deep layers of ripe black fruit and seductive smoky oak. New World vitality and style. Closed with a screwcap. The 1998 vintage of this wine won the coveted Jimmy Watson Award, the most prestigious wine award in Australia. This wine is mostly a blend of Shiraz with about a third Cabernet Sauvignon and a dash of Malbec grapes. It was matured in French and American oak for 22 months. Great structure, long finish. What more could you want?

Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec food pairings: ratatouille, beef fajitas, roast beef, roast goose, creamed onions, lamb shanks.
