From the Niagara Escarpment wine region, Westcott Estate 2021 Chardonnay is a medium-bodied, Burgundian-style Chardonnay aged in French oak barrels (30% new) for 11 months. Youthful and fragrant with fresh yellow apple, stone fruit, lemon curd and toasty, spicy flavours with nicely balanced acidity and eighty on the palate, chill and enjoy it with a Sunday night roast chicken dinner.

Chardonnay food pairings: Asian dishes with black bean, steamed Mahi Mahi, pasta with tomato sauce, pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Smooth, flavourful, and beautifully balanced. This wine has lovely aromas of golden apple, pear, hazelnut and creamy lemon. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate with a touch of softness but also a lovely bright crisp acidic note for balance. Fruit is rounded, ripe and plush, with a touch of tart fruit to add some interest. Warm spice hints linger on the finish. Enjoy with buttery lobster or other seafood.
Westcott Estate 2021 Chardonnay is a medium-bodied, Burgundian-style Chardonnay wild-fermented and aged in oak barrels up to 10 months. Produced from hand-harvested grapes sourced from two Westcott vineyards: Home vineyard on Vinemount Ridge and Butlers' Grant on the Twenty Mile Bench, it is fragrant with fresh yellow apple, pear, lemon curd, spicy and savoury on the palate with a toffee and flinty mineral finish. Very elegant and nicely done! - Community Wine Reviews
