A medium-bodied Burgundian-style and barrel-fermented Chardonnay from the Vinemount Ridge, Niagara Peninsula wine region. Well-crafted and delicious with ripe red apple, buttered toast, cinnamon, nutmeg, zesty citrus flavours on the palate with a lingering clean mineral finish. So enjoyable now.

Chardonnay food pairings: Asian dishes with black bean, steamed mahi mahi, pasta with tomato sauce, pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Malcolm Lamont - WSET Adv, CSW rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I am so thrilled to hear this wine, along with the Westcott Pinot Noir, are offered in boutique wine shops in the U.K., and to see Ontario wines are being credited internationally.
A beautiful Chardonnay, with primary (fruit), secondary (winemaking like oak and malo), and perhaps tertiary (butterscotch) aromas. Drink now, or up to 2023
Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Fantastic to see Niagara chardonnay showing so well. I'm always a big supporter of Ontario Chard especially from the bench. A full flavoured beauty packed with brioche and spice, nutty caramel and baked nectarine. Some savoury herbal notes to add complexity, such as green tea and oregano. This full bodied wine was barrel fermented and aged in French oak for 11 months. It leans towards the old school in it's oaking but balances the oak well with zesty appley tones, with a lovely minerality so often seen in wines from this area. A rounded style that leaves you fully satisfied and still wanting more, right after the balanced finish has finally left your lips. Try with chicken stroganoff with Dijon mustard, white fish gratin with a béarnaise sauce topping and exotic mushrooms. @wrightwineblog
