The 2020 vintage of the Wakefield Jaraman Shiraz is another blockbuster! Aromas of deep, ripe dark berries, plums and smoke. This robust Shiraz is produced from a blend of 70% Clare Valley grapes with the balance sourced from the McLaren Vale. The wine was aged in American oak barrels. Pair with a pepper steak or meat lovers' pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a lovely and juicy Shiraz, with aromas of blackberry and raspberry, along with hints of cedar and black pepper. Full bodied and bold on the palate with mouthwatering acidity, rich, ripe berry notes, a bit of smoke, and warm spice hints on the finish. Enjoy with ribs.
The 2020 vintage of the Wakefield Jaraman Shiraz is fantastic. Smoky and rich with aromas of ripe dark berries and plum and silky on the palate with a kiss of spice. Most of the grapes (70%) were sourced from the Clare Valley wine region with the balance from the McLaren Vale. The wine was aged in American oak barrels. - Community Wine R
Wakefield's Jaraman 2020 is a robust, full-flavoured Shiraz with ripe dark cherry, blueberry, prune, chocolate, mint, anise and pepper spice wrapped up in toasty, smoky oak and is harmonious and generous on the palate. Tannins are structured. Pour with roast leg of lamb. This vintage was awarded Gold at the 2022 Vinalies Internationales. - Community Wine Reviews
