Reviews and Ratings

Chris Coughlin - WSET level 3 grad rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Medium intensity aromas of: raspberry, plum and blackberry with a hint of herbaceousness, simular taste and add some ripe plum on the palate, equals a tasty wine.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Vintage Ink Wines Mark of Passion Merlot Cabernet 2010 is a must try wine. This full bodied wine features aromas and flavours of plum, blackberries and spice. (89/100) Tasted July 14, 2014
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Young plums, eucalyptus, vanilla, green pepper, white pepper, spice. Lots going on. The taste is smoother, mainly plum, spices, and vanilla. The finish is plum and vanilla with some soft tannins and a good acidity. This would be a great pizza wine.
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby colour, with dark ripe fruit, vanilla and spice aromas and flavours. Nice complexity that has some good acid and tannins to balance it all out. Full-bodied red that would be great with slow-cooked ribs on a smoker or some barbequed Italian sausages.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Funky label, flavourful wine!
Clear medium ruby colour with aromas of black current(cassis), black plum, cherry, strawberry, violet, cloves, black pepper, cedar, wet earth. Clean, medium+ acidity, medium+ body with flavours of dark cherry, cranberry, strawberry, vanilla, black pepper, cola, wood smoke.
Grainy tannins suggest this wine could have some life in it yet! Another 2-3 years. Long, fruit driven finish.
XD and good value at $17.95
Pair with grilled red meats or a hearty beef stew.
Tasted-July 2014
Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This is not a complex, but a fun wine perfect for the BBQ season. The nose is full of blackberries and red liquorice. High in concentration and alcool, this wine will be a perfect companion to your steaks.
Our Mark of Passion Cabernet-Merlot explodes with flayers of black fruits, cherries, plum, and spice. It is rich and complex, yet finishes like silk.

Available exclusively through LCBO Vintages this September.
