Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Antinori has been in the wine business since 1385 – that’s 26 generations – and you can taste the tradition and authenticity in their wines, as well as the quality of their honest work. This is absolutely a food wine. With its chewy tannins, and appealing acidity, the fruitiness and earthiness will shine paired with the right dish. Its notes of dark cherry, blackberries, and blueberries harmonize beautifully with its undertones of leather and rose. Enjoy this wine with roasted lamb, long braised osso bucco, or oxtail. Good for its price point.
Villa Antinori Riserva 2013 is a 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot medium-plus bodied Chianti Classico from the Tuscany wine region. The first vintage of this wine was produced in 1928. - Community Wine Reviews
