Huge and towering, this blockbuster Australian red wine weighs in at 16.1% alcohol but the fruit and structure can handle it. Can you? Angels' Share refers to the naturally evaporating amount of wine, say 2%, that goes into the atmosphere from the oak barrels as it ages -- presumably for the drinking pleasure of angels. Medieval winemakers assumed that angels watched over the wines and took their share.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Floral, plum and blackberry aromas give way to a mouthful of plum, black fruit and mocha, all bound together with chewy tannins. A soft finish offers a hint of spice
Whale-sized tannins make this a huge wine in the mouth that deserve 2 hours decanting (and some cellar time before that). - Community Wine
