Vibrant Old World style Chardonnay: great acidity, vibrant yellow apple yet butterscotch balanced. Love

Chardonnay food pairings: scallops with a sesame ginger dressing, spinach and pepper jack stuffed chicken, pan-fried cod with lemon butter sauce, toasted ravioli served with Alfredo sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This 100% esate grown Chardonnay hails from the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. Produced in a modern and balanced style, with great crisp orchard fruit and just a touch of oak to provide texture and complexity on the palate. A very long and refereshing finish with golden apple, vanilla, and baking spice. Lovely wine. Tasted April 2015. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This medium-bodied Chardonnay has enticing aromas of apple, pear, sweet spices and a hint of toffee. The palate is reminiscent to me of baked lemon tarts and sweet apple leans more to green apple. Good acid-fruit balance and a medium length citrus finish. Enjoy over the next 5 years. Tough sell at $47 but perhaps one for the collector to see how it evolves in the bottle.
Tasted: May 2015
This Classic Californian Chardonnay was barrel-fermented. All of the Chardonnay grapes are grown on the winery's estate vineyards. - Community Wine Reviews
