A superb Spanish red wine, especially at this price point! Full-bodied, rich and layered with aromas of black fruit, dark spice, earth and toast. This robust Spanish red wine is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, the country's flagship red wine varietal. The wine was matured for 12 months in oak barrels followed by prolonged bottle aging before being released from the winery. Pair with game meats. Serve at 17-18 degrees Celsius.

Tempranillo food pairings: grilled, smoked meats, slow-braised brisket.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A hearty, value-priced Rioja offering a great companion to fall and winter braised meat dishes. Dark, full bodied, dry. Red berry, earthy notes and a hint of leather. Tasted 2014 vintage in Nov 2017. Great value. 90 points. #BespokeTastings
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Delightful floral, ripe berries and mild baking spice notes. I'd say this value-priced Spanish red is a worthy starter in an afternoon summer BBQ line up. Enjoy with BBQ beef sliders. Tasted June 2018 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.com
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Notes of jammy red fruit and earth with a hint of spice. Finishes with soft tannins. Pair with grilled meat. Tasted November 2017.
