Tornatore 2018 is a full-bodied and smoky 95% Nerello Mascalese and 5% Nerello Cappuccio fragrant with pink roses, red berry, scrub aromas, savoury on the palate with strawberry, tart cherry, anise, baking spices and finishing on a flinty mineral note with racy acidity for food. So much to love here! Pair with grilled game sausages.

Food pairings: hearty meats, pasta in tomato sauce, cheddar cheese, risotto with mushrooms.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Etna Rosso 2018 from Sicily shows a regional taste by using organic grapes from the island. A blend of 95% Nerello Mascalese and 5% Nerello Cappuccio provides aromas of dried cherry, red plum, dried leaves, orange peels, cinnamon and cedar. Full body, light tannins and acidity, and a delicate finish that will pair nicely with a pasta dish. On the palate: sour cherry, red plum, potpourri, cocoa, cinnamon and cedar. Enjoy.
