From the Marlborough, a zesty, bone-dry Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of lemon peel, lime blossom, passion fruit and dried her flavours on the palate. Vibrant acidity makes this perfect for vegetarian dishes and oysters. Wine grapes were sourced from two of the prime locations for Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough - the Wairu and Awatere Valleys.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: seared scallops, pan-roasted shellfish or mussels.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

All the things you want a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to be. Kiwi, white peach, tropical guava, limestone and gooseberries a-plenty. Flavours complement this with splashes of mouthwatering citrus, nectarine, green apple and starfruit. Vibrant acidity nicely balanced with elements of lingering tropical fruit. Easy drinking and fresh. Great with herbed fish and grilled asparagus.
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

An extremely dry Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand that sings zestily throughout the tasting. Citrus and gooseberry aromas, intense grapefruit tastes on the palate. High acidity leads to a tart finish. Shellfish with lemon garnish, or a summer salad with bitter greens and soft cheese would soften the struture of the wine.
Thornberry Sauvignon Blanc is invigorating on the nose with lemon peel, lime blossom and dried herbs aromas. Dry with juicy acidity and flavours of ripe nectarine, gooseberry, tropical fruit and fine herb flavours on the palate. Chill and enjoy with mixed green salads and brunch dishes. - Community Wine Reviews
