Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The 2011 WineMaker’s Riesling, sourced from younger vines throughout the property, is medium bodied, fruity wine, with appealing aromas of green apple and subtle floral notes. It is off-dry, has a nice minerality, refreshing acidity and a clean/refreshing medium/long finish. Food friendly or a sipper; drink now – 2020+.” My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 90 pts – >1000 cases produced – available at the LCBO. Tasted Dec/12.

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Major petrol, beeswax and citrus notes dominate the aromas and flavours. Flavours are crisp, dry and mouthwatering. Enjoy this amazing expression of Riesling hailing from the Beamsbench sub-appellation in the Niagara Escarptment. Enjoynwith succulent King Crab legs. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
