Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Good value Niagara Peninsula V.Q.A. wine. This wine is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot; very compatible blending partners. The ripasso method (originating in Veneto) is used to add richness and depth to the wines' flavour and aroma. Medium bodied and balanced with a pronounced aromas of dried red cherry, red cherry, blackberry, black pepper, potpourri and a hint of green olives. Flavour layering continued to the palate with tastes of dried red and fresh red cherry, blackberry, black pepper and a savory/meaty note. We had a positive cornucopia of charcuterie with it; dried salami, grilled beef, chorizo, wensleydale with cranberries and mature cheeses. An excellent accompaniment to a nice afternoons visit with friends.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Foreign Affair Winery is a must-stop during your next wine tasting visit in the Niagara region. Their winemaking skills and charming personnel make each visit a good one. The Conspiracy 2016, made from 62% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Merlot, reveals strawberry, sour cherry, black pepper, dried herbs, cocoa and sweet tobacco. Well balanced with a medium body, the Conspiracy’s lingering finish will warm your palate with, tart cherry, plum, bell pepper and tobacco. Enjoy!
Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

I discovered this winery at the Taste Ontario event in Ottawa April 3, 2019 and really like their labels and the names of the their wines. Their Conspiracy red is a combination of cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and merlot. I would pair it with a good marguerita pizza.
