This is a rich and vibrant, full-bodied rosé made in the appassimento style. Amarose is a lush Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay blend with dried skins and lees contact of appassimento wines. Fragrant with pink florals, ripe red cherry, red berry jam and softly spiced on the palate.

Amarosé food pairings: pork tenderloin, turkey sandwiches, fish tacos.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The newest rose offering from Foreign Affair contains its typical Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but adds Gamay to the blend for the first time (67/21/12). It is also done in the Ripasso method, a departure from previous vintages crafted with appassimento wine. The resulting wine is dry, light, and fresh, a pretty light pink colour, and exhibits red fruit aromas of strawberry and cherry, followed by suggestions of citrus and stone fruit. Finishes fresh and clean. Pour with pork tenderloin and red berry compote.
