Aromas of blackberry preserves, blackcurrant jam lusciousness with some mint. Layers and layers and layers of pleasure. Eyes closed kinda wine. Some violets and cedar on this finish. Highly recommended. Loaded with fleshy ripe dark berries and vanilla spice from toasty oak aging. Good mouth-watering acidity on the palate leads to a clean finish. Pair with a juicy steak.

Shiraz food pairings: chicken pieces in creamy gravy, rosemary lamb, pepper steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Produced by Woop Woop Wines and Ben Riggs, winemaker, this full-bodied Australian red wine is a blend of mostly Shiraz and a splash of Viognier from McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. Finishes with fresh herbs, black pepper and cedar brush. According to the back label, this is a mysterious blending of 4% Viognier, a white wine grape (much like they do in Northern Rhone for that mid-palate lift and floral note), with 96% Shiraz, the doyen of Australian red wine grapes. This wine will cellar well for 2-3 years. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
