Reviews and Ratings

Gwen Barton rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Enjoyable med-bodied wine from the fabulous Tawse Winery. Warm tannins matched well with generous acidity. Blueberry, cassis and black cherry notes. These dark fruit overtones are complemented by sweet spice, cedar and hint of dark chocolate. Pair with lamb kafta and sweet tahini sauce.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Complex and succulent, cherry, blackberry, licorice and a savoury spiciness, a hint of earth and smoke and slight stemmy character - very enticing. Edgy tannins and great acidity make this a perfect wine for food. Try ribs or wild mushroom and barley pilaf.
Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This smooth yet refreshing ruby-red wine shows black cherry, smoke, baking spice, black pepper, roses and cassis on the nose, adding chocolate, vanilla and green pepper on the palate. Its moderate tannins are well integrated and the acidity will play off most foods quite nicely. Try pairing this medium-bodied offering with mild Mexican food with mole sauce or a tomato-based pasta dish.
