Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous black fruit and dark spice aromas and flavours along with meat blood, candied flowers and tobacco. 91 points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A lovely Argentinian Cab Sauv with loads of ripe dark fruit, vanilla, leather and baking spice notes. After a moment in the glass, a distinct graphite note will take over. This wine is off-dry (6g/l), full bodied with balanced acidity (med +) and tannins (med +), integrated alcohol and a long velvety finish. It has terrific potential for ageing and pairs very well with BBQ meats.
Dominio del Plata produces this blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and 5% Merlot grown at 1,160 metres above sea level. The wine was aged for 13 months in 80% new French oak barrels20% second use French oak. Winemaker Susana Balbo has been unofficially dubbed the "Evita of Wine" in her native Argentina. She had been making superb wine for 25 years as a winemaking consultant before establishing her own winery, Dominio del Plata, in 1999. The Signature line of wines are her premium portfolio. - Community Wine Reviews
