Natalie's Score: 92/100

California's best Petit Sirah, without question. Fleshy ripe blackberries wrapped in smoke and dark spice with voluptuous layers on the palate. Full-bodied and endlessly long on the finish. Here's a rare chance to try a lesser-known varietal on its own that's usually used in blending. The winery has planted 240 acres of vins on its estate. Pair with grilled meats.

Petite Sirah food pairings: venison, barbecued steak, pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A dark coloured wine with purple hues. Aromas of blackberry, cedar, red licorice, fresh tobacco and a touch of underwood. Dark berries follow through on the palate. A full bodied wine with structured tannins that are well incorporated with fresh acidity.

Would pair nicely with barbecued steak or with venison, moose, or other types of game meat.

Tasted October 2017.
