A gloriously well-crafted Californian red wine with seductive aromas of black fruit on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, rich, deep and concentrated red wine blend of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% of a mixed, "field" blend of Carignan, Mourvèdre, Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache, Syrah and Peloursin. Pair with game dishes.

Petite Sirah food pairings: rib roast, pork long ribs on the barbeque, stuffed veal breast roast.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Mesmerizing! The Stags' Leap Petit Syrah shows major floral (violets), black plum, cassis, leather, and licorice notes. The palate is dry and scrumptious with high mouthwatering acidity and long lush finish. Tannins are tight but they loosen up after an hour of being decanted. A prime cellar candidate. Enjoy this full-bodied Petit Syrah with braised beef lasagna. Tasted Dec 2016 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
