Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

In 1968 Vigorello was the very first "Super Tuscan" to debut, and since then the world has come to love this style of premium Italian wine. The 2010 vintage is a beautiful effort with layers of black berries, plum, baking spice, tar, graphite, and orange peel, leading to a soft and refined palate that's ready for immediate enjoyment. Perfectly balanced, it will age gracefully for many years. Drink 2015-2030. Tasted June 2015. 92 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This wine made it's debut in 1968 at the emergence of the Super Tuscan trend and has evolved wonderfully. The 2010 vintage of this IGT was aged 24 months in French Oak and 8 months in bottle prior to release. 50% Cab Saub, 45% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot have been harnessed into a deeply concentrated core of red fruit with aromatics of dry savoury herbs, leather, baking spice, vanilla and blackberry. Boasting fruit and refined minerality with elegance on the palate. Pair with BBQ steaks, braised meats, aged cheeses. Drinking well now. Enjoy 2016-2026 @jonsteeves rated 92/100 tasted @VIWF2016
Short on fruit and finish, especially for the price. This Italian red wine was first produced in 1968 with the rise of the so-called Super Tuscan wines. The 2010 vintage of the Vigorello is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a splash of Petit Verdot grapes. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
