Vibrant acidity on this tangy Saint Aix rosé. Nice balance of vibrant, ripe strawberry, raspberry flavours on the palate with a touch of wild herbs, finishing with a crisp, briny mineral notes. Nice on its own, but great acidity to pair with grilled shellfish dishes.

Food pairings: endive and ham in Mornay (white) sauce, chicken a la king, tagliatelle with ham.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

What's in my glass? It's one of my favorite rosés from Provence and just $23 @lcbo. Cheerful shade of pink with tempting floral bouquet; medium-bodied; dry; a wash of fresh acidity; long floral and fruity finish. Perfect sipped on it's own and pairs well with pink denim!
Other dance partners for this flirty rosé: charcuterie, shellfish, planked salmon, pork tenderloin, cream pastas, cheese board - so food friendly!

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

So refreshing and fragrant. Aromas of strawberry, lime, orange blossom and watermelon. Light, with bright acidity on the palate, the fruit flavours are more ripe and the zippy citrus notes carry through on the finish. Versatile with a range of food, from salmon to chicken or pork, or a charcuterie board on the patio.
From the Coteaux D'aix-En-Provence Wine Region, Saint Aix 2018 is so fine and delicate on the nose and palate. Soft, ripe red berry, honey and white floral aromas on the nose with rose petal, ripe strawberry, red berry and wild herb flavours on the palate matched with mouth-watering acidity for food. Fresh and lively, chill and enjoy now with grilled shellfish dishes. - Community Wine Reviews
