Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

The 2013 vintage is brilliant ruby red and 13.5% abv. This wine wears the black Chianti Classico rooster with pride and delivers on expectations. Aromatics and palate of dark cherry, freshly cut rhubarb, field strawberry and a hint of herbaceousness. This wine is a great companion for authentic Italian inspired tomato based sauce dishes such as Gourmet Italian sausage ragu bolognese with cremini mushrooms, infused with fresh basil and pan-seared fresh garlic and onion. The vibrant acidity, medium tannins, and medium fruit provides a great foundation for food pairing. This wine is ready to enjoy now. Tasted Dec 2015.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Initially less prnounced, less structure and more tannins; but after a day, this wine opened up with glory. The intensity of aromas is moderate with key notes of cherry, baking spice, earth and hints of vanilla. The palate shows mostly cherry, earthy and dark chocolate notes. This wine has pronounced acidity, low tannins, medium (-) body and a long tart cherry finish. Enjoy with pasta and meatballs. Definitely decant if eager to drink now. Tasted Dec 2015.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
