Classic minty blackberry on the nose. Good grip on the full-bodied palate. Black as night fruit, smoke and tar. Classically structured with deep concentration and complexity. Bordeaux styling with California power and fruit. This wine is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot grapes. Decant 2 hours. Drink with filet mignon and the good life.

Reviews and Ratings

Dean Engemoen rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

The powerful aromas hypnotize your senses. Blackberry, black cherry, cedar, vanilla and slight notes of violets all come through to varying degrees. On the palate the black fruits are joined by a touch of minerality and earthiness. This wine is huge and will only improve with more time. To think, this would have probably improved for another DECADE, maybe more, in the bottle, if we had that kind of patience. Well, I'm gonna go get another bottle and we'll find out. This is a tour-de-force in winemaking and worth every penny. Tasted August, 2015.
Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

Thank you to my former colleagues who chipped in and gave me a bottle of this wine. I enjoyed it with a good friend, and enjoy it we did. The explosion of flavors this big wine delivered, blackberry, cedar, and licorice has made it one of my favorite wines to date. Treat yourself.
