This robust Italian red wine is made in one of the more southerly wine regions of the country, where the grapes ripen to full flavour and depth. The 2008 vintage of the Rivera Il Falcone is a blend of 70% Nero di Troia and 30% Montepulciano grapes. Savoury, smoky and brooding with fleshy black fruit aromas and flavours. Ultra-delicious and smooth already in texture. Southern Italy has undergone a quality revolution. Taste this red to see what I mean. Pair this wine with hearty meat dishes.
