A lovely cool-climate Cabernet from Niagara. This wine underwent a long barrel fermentation of about 2 weeks on the skins. This Reserve Cab was then aged 18 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels. Aromas of fleshy ripe blackberry, dark spice, leather and smoke. Smooth and supple. Perfect for grilled meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled burgers, Margherita pizza, hamburger.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Beautiful flavour and aromas. On the nose there are notes of blackberry, currant, warm spice, leather and oaky smoke. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, with balancing acidity. Dark fruit flavours are ripe and rounded from 18 months of oak aging. Slightly smoky and spicy on the finish. Enjoy with braised beef short ribs.
