R. López de Heredia Viña Bosconia Reserva 2010 is a mature Rioja, fragrant with dried florals, dark fuit and woody aromas. The wine is dry, full-bodied and a rich red wine blend of Tempranillo with 10% Garnacha and 5% each of Graciano and Mazuelo. Look for ripe dark fruits, spiced plum, woody, citrusy and dark chocolate flavours tangy on the palate. Tannins are fine and polished.

Food pairings: slow-braised lamb shanks, venison stew, pork roast.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Had a chance to taste this vintage and compare with the 2008. Again, beautifully fragrant and offering a mouth full of flavour- lots of tart cherry, vanilla, leather, sandlewood, tobacco and violet. Great balance throughout and satiny texture; the finish shows lingering tart cherry, sandlewood and tobacco. All in all, a very sensuous wine that paired beautifully with grilled lamb chops served with fresh rosemary and fall vegetables. Wil buy this again.
Tasted Sept. 2022.
