Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A beautiful blend of mainly Tempranillo with some Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo. Rich with black fruit, cassis, herbs, smoke, and tobacco on the palate. This wine has a rich nose and is big and bold on the palate: The tannins are robust which shows that it can age for over 15 more years and will continue to get smoother and more interesting with time. Still drinks young, but there is a certain charm in that as well.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Tasted in 2021. Aromas of black cherry, raspberry, dried herbs, leather and smoke. Full bodied, bold and flavourful, with some soft tannins remaining and quite a bit of mouthwatering acidity on the palate. Dark fruit notes are leaning a bit more tart than they seemed on the palate, and the dried herb, leather and smoky hints are more subtle and balanced on the palate. Lovely, with a lot of life remaining in this wine. Enjoy with rack of lamb seasoned with mustard and herbs.
From the Rioja wine region, R. Lopez de Heredia Viña Bosconia Reserva 2007 is a mature Tempranillo-based, mouth-watering red wine blend with dried red berry, tanned leather and savoury herb flavours on the palate. Enjoy with game stews and meaty, cheesy pizzas. - Community Wine Reviews
