Reviews and Ratings

Miriam Borys rated this wine as 99/100 with the following review:

Had the pleasure of Wine Tasting at the Quails Gate Winery In Kelowna, BC with the very excellent Brian (the Sommelier) as our host. We loved this crisp, white fruity Gewürztraminer. Naturally we couldn't leave the winery without a few bottles of this delicious BC wine. I am going to pair this with my BBQ turkey burgers or my clear fish soup on a day when I am not in the mood for a complicated meal. Please go to my blog www.cookinguncovered.blogspot.com for these recipes and more.
Our Gewürztraminer is a valley blend sourced from vineyards on the Mount Boucherie Bench, and in North, Central and South Kelowna. The clay and limestone soils, reminiscent of those in Alsace, give the wine a soft mineral character adding depth and body. The grapes were handpicked in early October and whole bunch pressed prior to cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks to highlight the intense varietal characteristics of the wine. Some residual sweetness is retained to add texture and balance to the wine’s natural acidity. Careful cellaring of up to 5 years will be rewarded. Source: Winery
