Stunningly good price. South Africa does so well with Sauvignon Blanc, and it shows in this wine. Grassy, nettle, herbal refreshment with a medium-bodied weight. Lots of mouth-watering acidity. Pair with vegetarian dishes, seafood and grilled Portobello mushroom.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: grilled calamari, vegetarian dishes, seafood and grilled Portobello mushroom, chicken and sage skewers, fresh tomato and basil salad.

Reviews and Ratings

The crested porcupine featured on the front label is common in South Africa. They are noisy animals that move with a ponderous gait with lots of sniffing and grunting, eating mostly potatoes and root vegetables. They are also nocturnal and shy, and many live in the vineyards of this winery. In 1776, the South African winery Boekenhoutskloof was founded and has since become one of the most known producers in the country. - Community Wine Reviews
