Chocolate-mocha from lots of oak aging. Black fruit and a savoury note on the palate. Tannic grip so decant for 2 hours.

Reviews and Ratings

Plume Winery is a joint venture between the Stewart family of BC’s Quails’ Gate winery and Napa Valley’s Daniel Zepponi. The project is a first for any Okanagan producer. This is Plume’s debut wine. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, fleshed out with Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, Malbec and a dash of Merlot. The wine spent 18 months in barrel (most of them used barrels) and is structured to be accessible now with the ability to age for five or six more years. The aromas and fruit flavours (cherry, red plum) are bright and spicy. The wine shows the classically ripe flavours of Napa Cabernet. Score: 90 Source: John Schreiner, johnschreiner.blogspot.com

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
